Local Dumfries Business Woman Steps in to support new start up business

Local business woman, Anne Clark, Director of LowlandTraining Services Limited a company with bases in Dumfries and Stranraer has taken a new start up company under her wing and formed a partnership with Peter Davis of Home-Click Computer Training (also based in Dumfries).

Peter, who was recently made redundant from a local recruitment company, used to work for a charitable education centre based in Annan and has considerable experience in working in the role of an adult educator having spent nearly 20 years delivering training to adult learners in Cheshire, Cumbria and Dumfries & Galloway.

The partnership benefits both companies; Anne gains an experienced tutor/trainer and assessor to deliver the exciting new range of courses that Lowland Training Services Limited will be delivering in Dumfries and Stranraer, these include SQA’s Scottish Qualification for Personal Licence Holders and the Responsible Sale/Service of Alcohol and The SQA PC Passport Qualification for Beginners and Intermediate users. All these courses can be funded through ILA Scotland funding. Peter gains the use of training rooms in Dumfries and the ability to carry on providing an adult education service to the local community, something he is very passionate about doing. It also allows Peter to deliver the BBC 1st Click classes that he started up in Annan and the partnership allows students the ability to progress in their studies and take up the funded PC Passport course which will lead to an SQA Qualification on successful completion of the course.
